Argelès Plage is a coastal area with long sandy beaches in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, France. It includes three large beaches, the first of which is located in the center of Argelès-sur-Mer.
La Plage Centrale, awarded with the Blue Flag, is located along the promenade and bike path with pine trees. There are showers, toilets, lifeguards, free parking, and kayak rentals available. There is no shortage of bars and restaurants. This beach is very popular and in summer gets very crowded here.
The next beach to the north is Plage des Pins. Families with children love this beach as it has seasonal inflatable playgrounds for kids. Located not far from the city center, this place is equipped with everything you need for a pleasant beach holiday.
Plage de la Marende is the northernmost beach in the Argelès Plage area. This beach is wilder, and it is allowed to walk here with dogs on a leash. Set further from the city center, this is still a well-maintained and very clean beach with a big parking lot nearby.
There are many campsites near Argelès Plage. For hikers, the area has many interesting hiking trails to offer.
